Since exploding onto the professional scene in 2003, LeBron James has been many things to many people - fans and haters alike. Talented enough to bypass college and be the first overall draft pick right out of high school, he went on to guide Cleveland to the finals in 2007. James took the team closer to glory than it had ever gotten, then announced in summer 2010 he would be "taking my talents to South Beach."
There, he capped his first season with his new team by falling short to Dallas in the seventh game of the finals.
But one thing on which everyone has to agree: He's since become a reigning two-time world champion who happens to have led the league in field goals two of the past three seasons.
And his sneaker game is no slouch, either.
"King James" and Nike released his LeBron 11 signature sneaker in late September, and refreshed the line with the LeBron 11 Elite on April 11. Modeled after the one-of-a-kind Lamborghini Egoista, which was designed to commemorate Lamborghini's 50th anniversary, the LeBron 11 Elite reflects all the unique qualities of sleek, high-tech styling and performance to which James aspires.
The LeBron 11 Elite features an upper of polyurethane-based Foamposite, articulated to promote foot movement. Flywire lashes the foot to the footbed for stability, and full-length Zoom Air cushioning is nestled within a midsole of Lunarlon dual-density foam.
