Saucony

At over 100 years old Saucony is one of the oldest footwear manufacturers in today’s market place. In 1898 four businessmen founded Saucony on the banks of Saucony Creek in Kutztown, Pa., producing children’s shoes. After years of minimal success the founders of Saucony sold their company to Abraham Hyde of A.R Hyde & Sons who was able to take Saucony to the next level. Saucony first entered the running shoe market in 1968. Today, the development of Saucony running shoes and running clothing continues with input and feedback from runners. Technical breakthroughs such as ProGrid and PowerGrid cushioning have helped define Saucony’s commitment to improvement.
