The New Balance 480 New York is a limited-edition version of the ever-popular 480 shoe. Inspired by New York's iconic power, the 480 utilizes street maps as a basic theme to both display the city's urban sprawl as well as convey the use of shoes as a means of transportation within them. The New Balance 480 New York has a sublimated map pattern on a mesh upper with embossed nubuck overlays to portray concrete lines on sidewalk. The forefoot rubber outsole features EVA particles to represent concrete and a city skyline on the heel counter. The colors are inspired by traditional Yankee blue and grey.
