This minimalist-inspired running shoe features Saucony’s newest cushioning technology, PowerGrid, which is engineered to provide superior cushioning and maximum responsiveness for everyday runners. The shoe is geared for those with a neutral stride – one that neither over- nor underpronates significantly.
- Weight: 10.7 ounces (men’s size 9)
- XT-900™ carbon rubber on the outsole lends maximum traction and durability.
- Impact Interface cushions and isolates heel impact.
- IBR, Saucony’s new blown-rubber compound, is lighter and more responsive.
Saucony’s PowerGrid Cortana features a 4mm heel-to-toe drop, which is about one-third of most traditional running shoes. This is designed to let the runner’s heel and forefoot hit at a more natural angle.
The PowerGrid Cortana also features a Sauc-fit upper, which is a unique fit system that locks the midfoot onto the platform but also keeps the heel secure and comfortable. Also in the upper is Air-mesh, which lends lightweight breathability.
The Hydrator Collar Lining provides next-to-skin comfort to maximize moisture wicking, helping to keep feet dry.
Underfoot comfort comes from Saucony’s full-length HRC® (High Rebound Compound) Strobel Board. It also comes from Saucony combining its PowerGrid under-heel cushioning with the company’s innovative PowerFoam; this combination is designed to deliver responsive cushioning even after many miles of pounding.
The PowerGrid Cortana has earned accolades from Runner’s World, Running Network, and Outside Buyer’s Guide.
