Shedding nearly an ounce and a half from its predecessor, Saucony has upped the stakes with their most popular running shoe line. This menís running shoe is lighter, more flexible and more cushioned than ever before, which won it the Runnerís World Editorís Choice Award in the March 2012 Shoe Guide.
- Weight 10.2 ounces (menís 9).
- Full-length ProGridô Lite provides a seamless transition, plush cushioning and enhanced responsiveness.
- HydraMAX Lining in the upper wicks away moisture to keep the feet fresh.
- Dual Density Impulse EVA maximizes rebound and durability in a lightweight package.
Saucony calls the ProGrid Guide 5 their go-to training shoe, as they should. This lightweight performer gives runners the ideal blend of cushioning and responsiveness. It also goes from a 12 mm heel-to-toe drop to 8 mm, which brings the heel closer to the ground for a more natural footstrike. For the first time in the Guide series, the ProGrid Lite cushioning technology runs the whole length of the footbed. This provides a seamless transition through the gait cycle while providing the same cushioning and responsiveness as the traditional Heel ProGrid Lite. A Super Rebound Compound Impact Zone absorbs shock on footstrike and sets up the foot for a smooth transition.
