Apply to Run in the 2008 Foot Locker
Five Borough Challenge at the ING
New York City Marathon
Each year, five New Yorkers—one from each borough—
compete in the Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge, a
race-within-a-race at the ING New York City Marathon. The
five athletes selected will be featured in the WNBC telecast,
enjoy an early start, and will receive a Foot Locker Five
Borough Challenge uniform. The winner will receive a
Tiffany & Co. plaque and citywide bragging rights.
This year’s Challenge, in keeping with the marathon’s “What
Does It Take?” ad campaign, will feature working moms. To
qualify, you must be a working mother, a New York City
resident, and an ING New York City Marathon accepted
entrant who can complete the distance in 3:00 to 3:30. Send
your inspiring story, along with your name, age, borough of
residence and expected finishing time, to FL5B@nyrr.org.
Entries must be received by September 5.
