Camo, short for camouflage, is most often associated with its more modern military or hunting usage. But the technique has 100 million-year-old roots! Scientists have found evidence of camouflage behaviors in dinosaur fossils. Charles Darwin also took note of natural camouflage patterns in animals and insects, as did zoologists and nature artists of the 18th and 19th centuries.
