Sweatsuits

Still seen on athletes warming up on the biggest stages in sport, the sweatsuit hasn’t left the track, and sweats and sweatshirts are more common in streetwear than ever before. This seemingly simplistic warm-up can be seen on some of the biggest names in the NBA, and it has undergone an even larger transformation over the years, much thanks to pop culture. Its adoption by major music artists in the ’80s, especially hip-hop, helped catapult the tracksuit into the wardrobes of the masses. 

Today, the tracksuit has reached new heights now with clothing in kids’ sizing from major brands like Nike, adidas, Under Armour, and more, to help components of the sweatsuit, like joggers and fleece-lined pants, become even more versatile. With people of all ages wearing joggers and warmer staples like Fleece clothes for more than just working out, the sweatsuit is still here to stay, and at the highest level of casual streetwear.
