The All-Season Boot
Sidney Swartz may not have set out to create a legacy, but that’s exactly what he did with the creation of the first all-leather boot of its kind. Conceived in 1973, Swartz was looking for an answer to the harsh, cold winters of New Hampshire that brought ice, snow, sleet, and wind. Taking a non-traditional approach, he crafted a boot made solely from leather, with the idea that its waterproof composition would stand up to the elements, and the test of time. The “Original Yellow Boot,” as it has since been fondly named, was the foundation of the company—and the start of a lasting legacy.
