Nike Space Hippie Collection

The environment is at the forefront of the Nike Space Hippie Collection, using recycled plastics and even scraps off the Nike factory floors. These sneaker remnants have also been dubbed “space waste yarn” by Nike and are incorporated into the upper of the Space Hippie sneakers – a material that looks similar to Nike’s legendary Flyknit material at a glance, but actually consists of 90% recycled material. The outsole of the shoe has a distinct, futuristic looking design, but also embodies the forward-thinking mission of the Space Hippie collection with 15% recycled rubbers – also trademarked as Nike Grind – a program that reuses and recycles materials.
