Born in the French Alps in 1947
Founded in 1947 in Annecy, the heart of the French Alps, Salomon has always been driven by a passion for outdoor sports. In 1957, the brand revolutionized skiing with the launch of the first toe piece for ski bindings called the “Skade,” setting the foundation for future innovations. In 2015 Salomon launched its first fashion collaboration, a reimagined Snowcross boot leading to the birth of the Sportstyle division and three years later, the XT-6 debuted as part of that Sportstyle line.
