‘Old Soul. New School.’

Kyrie Irving may be known to his fans by his alter ego “Uncle Drew” after a series of 2012 soda commercials. Dressed as an old man on the basketball court, he would ball out all over the “young blood,” hanging from rims and draining 3s in what would become an amusing show.

But while that was all in fun, Kyrie is also serious enough to define himself by more than his entertaining on-court performances. And that’s where his Nike Kyrie signature shoe series tells chapters of his personal story in the form of new-school tech sneakers made for on and off the court.

Kyrie off Court, on Point

Kyrie drew notable basketball aesthetics from the 1990s to style up the newest tech advancements. The midfoot strap reappears for the first time since the Kyrie 2, with an embossed look that recalls ’90s swagger.

Premium leather and ballistic mesh add form to their function, giving Kyrie’s shoe off-court appeal.

And the pronounced heel counter draws from many of the on- and off-court kicks Kyrie loved before he got his own signature line.

Kyrie Runs the Floor

His newest tech includes “must-have” features such as the extra padded tongue and collar and midfoot support. A built-up outsole and a leather quarter-panel (back near the ankle) give you lateral support on hard, slashing cuts. And a wide midfoot strap lashes you to the footbed to secure your foot over the cushioning.

The Kyrie 6 features Traction 360 with a low-profile Nike Air Zoom Turbo unit under your forefoot. It’s expanded to cover 240% more area than the Zoom Air unit in the Kyrie I.

Finish Strong

However you build the base of your Kyrie style, you can finish your look with a wide variety of Nike apparel, available in sizes for men and kids at Foot Locker.

Choose from long- and short-sleeve T-shirts featuring animal prints or an image of Kyrie demonstrating his handles.

Hoodies come as pullovers, or as full-zip for an easily layered and adjustable look.

Pants and shorts, even ’90s style shorts with bold colors and patterns, give you the option of kicking back in comfort or turning heads like Uncle Drew himself just walked onto the floor.
