Originally founded as the Abington Shoe Company in Massachusetts, Timberland has always been a brand rooted in functionality. Looking to produce footwear that could withstand cold, wet winters and hold up to everyday use, Timberland experimented and wear-tested countless designs before unveiling The Original Yellow Boot in 1973.
